La Fin Absolute du Monde with Elza

Classical meets metal with West Oakland’s La Fin Absolute du Monde. The band was born in 2009 in a chance meeting of Cyndy Melanio and Jason Myles at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas. Intrigued with the notion of playing music with a beautiful stranger and not knowing which musical direction to proceed in, the couple intertwined each of their own diversely bold auditory flavors.

With a background in metal, Jason’s aggressive contribution matches in intensity with Cyndy’s beautiful and haunting melodies. Cyndy holds multiple degrees (including from the world renowned, Royal Conservatory of Music) in classical music majoring in classical piano performance with a minor in Spanish classical guitar. In addition, she grew up playing various woodwind and brass instruments and strives to utilize her learned knowledge to add richness and epic sounds and moods.

We invite you to come out and experience the live show at the Rickshaw Theatre on Thursday, April 7th. It is fiery and passionate, sexy and dark, alluring and hypnotizing.
